A fascinating piece of board game history from early 20th-century France.
This stunning antique Bagatelle game (ancestor of the modern pinball machine) is an authentic collector's item dating back to the 1910-1930 period. Made entirely of solid wood, it features a wonderful and detailed chromolithographic illustration in the Chinoiserie style, which was very popular in Europe at the time. [1, 2]
The board depicts lively traditional scenes with fishermen and figures in period clothing in both the upper and lower sections. In the center, a geometric star motif stands out with period scores (20 and 50 points) enclosed by metal compartments and small brass pins meant to deflect the path of the marbles. At the bottom are the classic numbered chutes for calculating the final score.

Perfect both as a nostalgic game piece for retro evenings and as an exclusive vintage decor object for entryways, game rooms, or elegant studies.
