Antique Wooden Fudō Myōō (Acala) Figurine – Hand-Carved Japanese Craftsmanship
Add a piece of Eastern history and spirituality to your collection.
This extraordinary vintage hand-carved wooden figurine depicts Fudō Myōō (Acala), one of the most iconic and revered deities of Japanese esoteric Buddhism (Shingon).
Known as "The Immovable," Fudō Myōō embodies unwavering spiritual determination against negative forces and ignorance.
The sculpture is distinguished by its vigorous and essential carving style, with chisel marks left intentionally visible, a technique that recalls the great tradition of Japanese folk and rural art (Mingei / Ittōbori).
